There are so many blogs out there and simple statements that we can all learn from. One of my favorite articles is from a blogger by the name of Megan who wrote an article about public school. What she wrote about sums up how I feel about what we as parents should be striving to do. Simply stated, “Continuing to build a home where learning is nurtured and valued is one of the best ways we can equip our children for life after graduation.” She gives 5 suggestions on how to support learning at home. All 5 recommendations are great and she finishes her article with a wonderful statement that ” Truly, the best way we can instill in our children the importance of learning for the sake of learning is to be life-long learners ourselves. As you go about your days spent with children at home, model for them the joy and fulfillment that comes from learning new things all the time.”
